Can Bearded Dragons Eat Hibiscus Flowers? (The Risks!)

Hibiscus flowers, by themselves, are not a nutritious food for bearded dragons. In fact, when left with no other food to eat, bearded dragons will eventually nibble on hibiscus flowers.

However, in small or medium quantities, hibiscus flowers are safe for bearded dragons.

Hibiscus flowers are not high in nutrients because they have no calcium, magnesium, vitamin A, E, D3, or B12. They also lack fiber and protein.

However, if eaten in moderation (very little can go a long way) it is a good treat for bearded dragons because the flowers will be a source of carbohydrates.

Bearded dragons can eat hibiscus flowers, but do not make them a staple in your pet’s diet.
